Coordinates: Kallur is a small town in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh state in India well connected by roadways. It lies 45 kilometers north of Chittoor and 10 kilometers south of Pileru and 54 kilometers south west of Tirupati on the NH(National Highway)18.
The famous Kanipakam with swayam bhuva vinayaka idol is 45 km away from Kallur. The Ayyappa swami temple (10 km away on Punganur road)and Lord shiva temple(6 km away in pulicherla) are also good temples to visit.
It is a junction point connecting the important towns Punganur, Tirupati, Chittoor and Piler in the district. The closest railway station is Piler, 10 km away. It is an economic center for many villages surrounding it. The town has a high percentage of Muslims who coexist peacefully along with their Hindu neighbors. Kallur is famous for Tomato, Banana and retail market. Jaggery is also available.
