Kalligudi

Kalligudi is a small town in Tirumangalam Taluk of Madurai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

It is located 15 Kilometers south of Tirumangalam.

The Thirumangalmm constituencey representative even in the preindependent state of Tammilnadu was represented by Mr. A.K.A.Ramachandra Reddiar who was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and sunsequently was a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) too who was very close to Mr. Kamaraj Nadar who became the Chief minister of the state subsequently, hailed from a near by hamlet of Kalligudi Chatthram that was known as Agathapatty village.
