Kaliro District

Kaliro is a district in the Eastern Region of Uganda. It was created out of the eastern part of Kamuli District in 2006, and is now a fully fledged district. Like other Ugandan districts, it is named after its 'chief town'.

The Basoga are the main inhabitants of this district, and the dominant local language is Lusoga.
