Kalikamba temple

Sri Kalikamba Vinayaka Temple is located in Lower Car Street about 3 km from the City bus Stand in the city of Mangalore in India.
This temple is mainly revered by people of Vishwakarma Brahmin community (people involved in goldsmith, blacksmith, carpentry & architecture business).
This temple underwent major renovation recently. The Garbhagrihas of Lord Ganesh & Goddess Kalikamba were rebuilt with granite.

- 4. Sri Vasuki ( There is a small Nagabana within the premises)

Within the temple premises, there is a math in the name of Sri Nagalinga Guru popularly known as Ayya Guru). It is called as Gurumutt.

Ugadi is the main festival celebrated over here. It is celebrated for 10 days with grandeur along with lot of cultural activities.
Special Poojas are also performed during the months of Shravana & Bhadrapada

Once in every 5 years, the temple also conducts Samoohika Upananyana (Mass thread ceremony) for poor vishwakarma brahmins living in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi districts.
There is a committee called Sri Kalikamba Seva Samiti which is volunteers for many social service activities.
There is a Vishwakarma Sahakara Bank (earlier known as S K Goldsmith cooperative society) which mainly caters to the needs of Vishwakarma community apart from others.
There are several trusts associated with temple which encourages education among Vishwakarma students by offering scholarships for brilliant students & monetary help for the poor students, right from primary school to higher education like medicine & engineering.
