Coordinates: Kaliganj (Bengali: কালীগঞ্জ) is an assembly constituency in Nadia district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

In the 2001 census, Kaliganj community development block had a population of 290,845 out of which 148,750 were males and 141.095 were females. The area is overwhelmingly rural.[1]

Nakashipara is an intermediate panchayat (local self-government) under Nadia zilla panchayat. Village panchayats under it are – Barachandghar, Debagram, Faridpur, Gobra, Hatgachha, Juranpur, Kaliganj, Matiari, Mira I and II, Palitbegia, Panighata, Plassey I and II, and Rajarampur Ghoraikshetra.[2]

In the 2006 and 2001 assembly elections, Dhananjoy Modak of RSP won the Kaliganj assembly seat defeating his nearest rivals Nasiruddin Ahmed of AITC in 2006 and Abdus Salam Munshi of AITC in 2001. Abdus Salam Munshi of INC defeated Dhananjoy Modak of RSP in 1996 and Deb Saran Ghosh of RSP in 1991. S.M.Fazlur Rahman of INC defeated Deb Saran Ghosh of RSP in 1987. Deb Saran Ghosh of RSP defeated Shibsankar Bandopadhyay of INC in 1982 and S.M.Fazlur Rahman of JNP in 1977. [3]
Kaliganj is part of Krishnagar(Lok Sabha constituency) [4]
