Kalandia

Kalandia (31°51′N, 35°12′E; Arabic: قلنديا‎) also Qalandiya, is a Palestinian village and adjacent refugee camp located about halfway along the road from Jerusalem to Ramallah on the West Bank. The refugee camp was established in 1949 and is home to 10,024 refugees,[1] and the village had a population of 1,154 inhabitants in 2006.

There is also a major Israeli checkpoint for Palestinians crossing into Jerusalem nearby.
