Kalaignar TV

Kalaignar TV is one of the Tamil language satellite television channel based in Chennai, India.

After disputes between Kalanidhi Maran and Karunanidhi family in May 2007, Karunanidhi's family launched this channel in Sep 2007.

  • Kalaignar TV launched a 24X7 Tamil Music channel named Isaiyaruvi in Jan 2008.
  • Kalaignar TV is set to launch a 24X7 Tamil News channel soon.

  • Directors: Dayalu Karunanidhi 60%, Kanimozhi 20% and Sharad Kumar (Ex-Gemini TV) 20%
  • This channel has signed up with popular film personalities to provide programme content and for latest movie telecast rights.
  • Though Kalaignar Tv succeeded in inducting anchors and producers from sun tv , reports says that it failed to attract viewers from Sun Tv.
