[edit] Plot
Jerico that inhabits the Hive City section of Hive Primus on Necromunda. A man of fine tastes and good graces (or so Kal thinks), he uses his reputation as a sweet-talker and ladies man to his advantage often. Although having more care for his clothes than his bounties, Jerico frequently collects bounties - only to squander them all too quickly again. His fellow bounty hunters and partners are part ratskin Scabbs and ex-Wildcat leader and fellow ex-noble Yolanda Catallus. An apparently excellent shot with his laspistols, Jerico rarely uses his sabre. His continuing survival in hive primus seems to be because of his abnormally good luck, although many situations Kal finds himself in end closer than he is willing to admit.
"Call me sentimental but I am rather fond of that revolting little half-breed renegade." - Kal Jerico on Scabbs.[citation needed]
The son of Imperial Inquisitor Helena Jerico and Planetary Governor Gerontius Helmawr, Kal Jerico eschewed the high life in the Spire for bounty hunting in the underhive. He has dyed blond braids to the front of his scalp but the rest of his hair is brown, which he ties back. Jerico also prefers to sport sideburns and a royale goatee, usually with stubble. Armed with two duelling laspistols and a sabre, Jerico wears pouches and a utility belt over his leather overcoat.
Kal also has numerous cousins, living and dead, as well as numerous brothers and their offspring. He also has at least one half-sister, Merelda, who works alongside their mother.
Just under a year before the Blood Royal novel and just after the comic The Hit Kal Jerico had a bounty upon his own head, which he managed to pay off eventually. He had also had dealings with the "Underhive Spymaster" Nemo, both in the Blood Royal novel and in the strips, whom can arguably be identified as Kal's arch-nemesis.
[edit] Gaming
Kal Jerico has appeared in both model and rule forms in the game Necromunda. In addition, The Inquisitor model Lady Jena Orechiel is patterened after his mother Helena, and was originally identified as her before it was released. [1] Jena Orechiel being an anagram of Helena Jerico.
There were copyright issues concerning who owned the rights to the character of Kal, when there were 'staff changes' at Games Workshop, so the Inquisitor model is not currently produced.[citation needed]
