KALY is a Radio Disney AM radio station serving the Albuquerque, New Mexico, market. KALY broadcasts on 1240 kHz.
The station went on the air as KLTN on 1981-09-01. On 1988-09-27, the station changed it's call sign to the current KALY.[1]
KALY took over as the Radio Disney affiliate when KDEF changed formats in early 2003. KALY was formerly a Latin Top 40 outlet called "Caliente" for many years. Radio Disney had also been heard on KDZZ-AM 1580 (now KRKE 1600) in the late 1990's. KDEF-AM 1150 picked up the Disney format in 2000.[citation needed]
