Monarchy

glad you fix the Rush logo on NLL team. I am curious who would you like to see as a Canadian king or queen? Smith03 16:17, 27 August 2005 (UTC).

So you would not support say prince andrew, edward or ann being invited to move over to Canada?. Just curious in your opinion is there a large support in Canada for a Canadian monarchy seperate from the UK?Smith03 16:35, 30 August 2005 (UTC)

Well, if one of the Queen's children other than Charles came over here, that would be interesting. Support for he monarchy is well, confusing. Most people don't care enough about it to warrnet any change, but if anything were to happen, it would cause a major outrage. Kaiser Matias 18:11 30 August 2005 (UTC)

Vancouver Canucks Team Captains

I noticed that a day or two ago you removed the list of team captains off the Canucks page and put it back onto its own page. A while back (about a month I think) I had noticed that some teams had team captain lists and some didn't and some (many actually) had two lists. I noticed that some of the ones with two lists were only being updated on the main team page. Also, many of the lists of captains had five or fewer players mentioned; this hardly warrants their own page. Since only a few teams, such as the Bruins, have long captain lists, I decided to standardise the team captain lists and only use one list on the main team article. I was wondering if you were planning to remove all the captains lists off all the team articles, or if it was just Vancouver? The Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Team pages format has been updated over the past few weeks in an attempt to clean up a lot of the messes found on a large number of teams around the league. Part of the up-date included shorter Hall of Famer lists and shorter Not to be forgotten lists. With those two lists shortened, there is plenty of room for the team captains. Image Tagging Image:Chubarov.gif

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Chubarov.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 18:36, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Your flag question

I think the answer to your flag question was too long and overly complicated. Not saying that you didn't understand it, but all he had to say was "the stars always lead, never follow", thats what they taught me in the army. Also, I read your page and noticed you had similar interests in history as I do, its comforting to know that a younger generation still takes interest in history. Lastly I saw that you are writing a book of sorts on a 9th Crusade with loosely based modern themes. This is a great idea for a book, but there already was a 9th Crusade in 1271 that was a dismal failure. I hope I don't sound hyper-technical, it's just a benign observation. User:MrFuchs 04jul06

response

hey no problem. If you have any other questions on the army or the military in general, don't hesitate to ask me. User:MrFuchs

Categories

Hi there...just a reminder that when applying a category to an article, you need to type it in [[square brackets]], not {{curly ones}} — using curly brackets renders the category page into a template, and pastes the whole damn category page into your article (and trust me, that's not what you want). Also, if you're writing up a hockey player, you should file him in Category:Canadian ice hockey players (and/or any appropriate team categories, such as Category:Vancouver Canucks players, Category:Edmonton Oilers players, etc.) rather than Category:Canadian people. We categorize people by occupation and/or location and/or ethnicity; the Canadian people category itself is supposed to be completely empty except as a parent to help people find the more specific subcategories. Thanks. Bearcat 03:24, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Adding in something on categories, do not put anyone in Category:Dead people. You meant well, but that category is a placeholder for other death categories as opposed to where you put every single person. You seem to be going a good job on edits, just make sure to not do that in the future. It's not a big deal at all, really. --Wizardman 01:52, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi there. Thanks for your comments about Fitzpatrick and on my talk page. -- JamesTeterenko 02:21, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

WP Munich

Image:Zherdev.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Zherdev.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Khatru2 08:10, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Not a problem. I have just been going through and tagging all of the replaceable fair use images of NHL players. Khatru2 09:31, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Bikini speedbandits

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Bikini speedbandits, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Bikini speedbandits. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. WikiProject- Active

In response to your query on the participant section of the Hockey WikiProject, basically you are active if you are around and editing a fair amount each month related to hockey, semi-active people are usually people who have like 2-3 hockey related edits a week... I had actually put you on active today even before I read it because I noticed you were contributing a good amount. Feel free to change your status whenever. I started the three subcategories months ago, because the Project had tons of users but some of them had been gone for months and still listed as a member, and I didn't want to remove them unless they came back. So this way new users in the WikiProject know who the best users to talk to about Project related stuff, and other users know who is still around and who to talk to and to expect to hear from. As it is in total (Active, semi-active, non-active) we probably have more than 100 users. Croat Canuck Go Leafs Go 04:21, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

No Problem, and like I said its not meant to be set in stone or a measure of class or anything along those lines. Anybody is free and encouraged to change where they are as their situation changes. Keep up the good work! Croat Canuck Go Leafs Go 02:11, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Jim Pattison

I there; I have not touched the article, but I have this burning urge to ask; if you know nothing about him, as you say, why did you write the article?--Anthony.bradbury 23:31, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Fair enough. Looking back at my question it looks as if I was criticising, but that was not my intention. I was just curious. Clearly the guy deserves an article, although the name is not well-known on this side of the pond.--Anthony.bradbury 14:17, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Counting edits

Hi,

How can you count the edits you have made? 1500 is nice and I wonder how many I have done myself. (you can answer here instead of my own talk page.) Švitrigaila 22:54, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

The site to count edits is located here. It gives a detailed list of everything you've done on Wikipedia. Kaiser matias 23:06, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Wow! Nice! ... I don't understand anything yet, but it looks great, thanks. ... Does it mean I've done only 1308 edits? I'm jealous. But with 3563 edits in the French Wikipedia, my honor is safe. Švitrigaila 23:11, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Henry Croft

My comments were somewhat tongue in cheek; the Australian connection was tenuous and you were right to remove him from the project --Steve (Slf67) talk 23:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Chubarov.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Chubarov.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Vancouver Canucks Template Page

Hey, just thought I'd help a fellow Vancouver Islander out here. To edit Template Pages, hit edit as you would to edit an article, and at the very bottom, it should list all the templates used on the page. You can now click the template link and edit it there, in this case McCreary's disambig link. Thricecube 01:45, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Assesment of season article

You assesed the 2007-08 Frölunda HC season as a stub. Does such an article get a "grade" such as stub, start etc. Isn't more of a list then an article and therefor should be assesed as a list? --Krm500 22:01, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Professional Ice Hockey

Sorry for completely forgetting about the US and the International Professional Hockey League. Do you know where you can find the league's logo, since the copyright should have expired by now, so I can put it in that section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Evilclown93 (talkcontribs) 15:23, 16 March 2007 (UTC).

Stanley Cup Peer Review

I put the Stanley Cup on peer review. I think it's ready for FA status, so I'm sort of spamming you to take a look and please provide feedback. The Evil Clown my contributions 14:38, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I've posted sort of a vote page on the talk considering blanking the Finals of Note section. Do you feel a vote/ consensus is necessary, or should be deleted out outright? The Evil Clown my contributions 18:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for looking over it. I've done massive revisions according to the PR, so if you feel like at it again, it'll be so appreciated. The Evil Clown my contributions 01:13, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
