I would like to know why the tone of the article is incorrect for an encyclopedia entry. It is just plot and character list. If what causes this problem is the fact that their are short bios after each character, that can be fixed. But the reason I have them is to give viewers a quick overview of Kaiju Big Battel. This is because about 1 out of every 75 or more people know what Kaiju Big Battel is. Hoekenheef 12:06, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I think the problem is that it focuses too much on what KBB pretends to be and not enough on what it is. For instance, look at the section entitled "What is Kaiju Big Battel?" There is nothing in there that acknowledges "this not is real, factual information about the world; this is the backstory of the performance art put on by these entertainers." Of course, I wasn't the one who put the cleanup-tone notice on the article, so there may be other concerns, but when I look at the article, that's one of the major things that I see needing attention. -- Antaeus Feldspar 20:13, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

I see your point. Thank you. It will be fixed. Hoekenheef 12:36, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)

er... I don't think it's necessary to remove all the details about the characters, Hoekenheef. In fact, I think that's valuable information to give the reader so that they get a real feel for the delightful absurdity of KBB. I think it's just necessary to balance the descriptions of KBB's fictional world with information about Kaiju Big Battel, the troupe of human entertainers who dress up in costumes and perform: how long they've been doing this, where they've performed, what about their book and their DVD, etc... -- Antaeus Feldspar 18:23, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Removing the red links

I've removed all the red links to individual KBB characters. From my experience with VfD, I think it's better if we concentrate on improving the Kaiju Big Battel page first, and only spread out to other articles when we need to. I've seen a lot of really nasty VfD fights over this and the result is often enough "merge into the parent article" anyways, so it makes sense for us to concentrate our efforts here and not expand until the need for expansion is more clear.

I'm also creating redirects for the names of the major KBB characters, so that if someone goes searching for "Silver Potato" or "Referee Jingi" they'll get redirected to this page. I believe Special:Whatlinkshere/Kaiju Big Battel will give a list of those redirects. -- Antaeus Feldspar 18:51, 20 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Good ideas. Also, I changed the "What is KBB" to "What is the KBB background story?" Hoekenheef 14:16, 30 Jan 2005 (UTC)

[edit] copyvio?

Inky, where did the allegation of copyvio in your edit summary come from? -- Antaeus Feldspar 18:43, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I do't think he responds to anyone, as I placed a comment on his talk page about his changes and never got a response. Hoekenheef 12:03, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

i thought of a fun fact for this page, in the game midnight club 3 dub edition, there is a giant kaiju big battel billbord that has the icons for the 5 factions an it says Danger can hppen under the icons

[edit] Cleanup

I've tagged this article for cleanup, mainly because it includes a ton of useless information about the KBB mythos and almost no information about KBB as a business or other ventures; if you disagree with this, you are (super) wrong. I suggest that we create a series of KBB articles, like, for example, an article that discusses the monsters as opposed to how we have it now. Discuss. FreakmanJ 02:40, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Corporate ties

Someone told me that the Best Buy corporation was using Dr. Cube in an ad campaign. Can anybody verify this? —Morganfitzp 16:54, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge from Doctor Cube

Please merge relevant content, if any, from Doctor Cube per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Doctor Cube. (If there is nothing to merge, just leave it as a redirect.) Thanks. Quarl (talk) 2007-03-03 07:55Z

[edit] Goldenrod

I can't tell, where would Goldenrod go? For those of you who don't know him, he is a fighter who seems to have died and ended up in the Kaiju Graveyard. Chaosvii7 22:44, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
