Kaitangata

- Kaitangata is a small town near the coast of South Otago in New Zealand.
- In the Māori language, Kaitangata means human food - kai being food and tangata being human, or people. Kaitangata has sometimes been used to mean cannibal.
- In Māori tradition, Kaitangata is a son of Rehua who fell to Earth, his blood staining the sky red.
