Kaiserreich

Kaiserreich is the German term for a monarchical empire. Literally a Kaiser's Reich, an emperor's domain or realm.
This term could apply to many non-German states, but as a descriptor of a Germanic state it applies to:
- the Austrian Empire of 1804-1867
- the Austro-Hungarian Empire of 1867-1918
- the German Empire of 1871-1918
