The Kaiser class of armored frigates was a class of two ships commissioned into the German Imperial Navy, both in 1875. The ships, Kaiser and Deutschland, served in colonial duties until the turn of the 20th century. In 1904, both ships were converted into harbor ships, with Deutschland being used as a target ship in 1906. Deutschland was scrapped in 1908, but Kaiser was retained until she was scrapped in 1920.
