The group's debut album Employment was released in March 2004. It reached number one in the United Kingdom and was was certified platinum.[4] In April 2008, the album's lead single "Ruby" was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for "Most Performed Title of 2007-2008".[5] Kaiser Chiefs are currently recording their third album with producer Mark Ronson.[6]
