Kainops is a genus of trilobites from the order Phacopida, suborder Phacopina. This genus can easily be mistaken as Phacops, Paciphacops and Viaphacops. They differ from Phacops by having a long protruding glabella. They differ from Paciphacops by having more eye facets. Kainops can be found in some Lower Devonian rocks in the United States and Australia.
