Kahn was a software game server browser for DOS, Windows 95 and 98 enabling online multiplayer of IPX compatible games over a TCP/IP network. Very large community of Descent (computer game) players originally. The incompatibility of Kahn (author of Kahn stated that he would never release the source code) with Windows XP led to a slow dwindling of the community until the final demise of Kahn IRC channel in late 2003.
