[edit] Brief History
Led by its three pioneering homegrown bands Sin, Stagnant, and Starscream, the festival's purpose is to give fresh and potential bands from Cavite an opportunity to showcase their talents and skills to a whole new level of entertainment and excitement, together with some of the hottest local Rock and Metal bands sharing the same stage with them. Among who supported and performed at the said festival were Greyhoundz, Cheese (now known as Queso), Bloodshedd, Typecast and others.
Through the years, the Kaguluhan Music Festival has grown huge and bigger establishing its cult-following awareness in the local underground music scene since its inception in 2004. From booking gigs such as the Casino Filipino Cockpit/Arena, posting pics and video clips on the web, spawned fresh new talents (some of which have become recording artists), to creating and selling their own merchandise (souvenir shirts) as well, and has, in turn earned a legion of loyal followers in and out of town which finally led to its yearly two articles back to back on a local music magazine. So far it has become one of the most anticipated music events in the country.

[edit] Trivia
Sin was the first runner-up of the 2006 Philippine Division of the World Battle of the Bands, in which eventually Queso would win the coveted title.
Kaikatsuna another festival mainstay recently won the best live act for the 2007 Philippine division of the World Battle of the Bands.
The first event started in October, but because of the fact that the month was known for Oktoberfest, the festival was moved to November on its second year.
Sin, Stagnant and Starscream share some of the same musicians from each band.
Uncredited and unbilled bands got the opportunity to perform on the festival's 2nd year until the production decided to reduce the line-up limitng to only ten bands to avoid overflowing.
Among the pioneering host bands, Starscream is the first to release an officially independent album which happened on the festival's 4th year.
The festival was also known for its motifs and gimmicks, particularly with their poster campaigns and shirt souvenirs. Such inspirations adapted were from movies such as Hellboy, Dawn of the Dead, The Omen and lately, 300.
