Kage-ryū

This article is about the school of Kage-ryū (影流) founded c.1550. For the school of Kage-ryū (陰流) founded c. 1490, see Kage-ryū (Aizu).
Kage-ryū (影流?)[1] is a Japanese koryu martial art founded in the late Muromachi period ca 1550 by Yamamoto Hisaya Masakatsu.
The system teaches battojutsu using very long swords known as choken.
