KAFE-FM 104.3 is a 60 kw radio station located and licensed in Bellingham, Washington, transmitting from an antenna on Mount Constitution on Orcas Island with broadcasts originating from their Bellingham studios on Yew Street Road. KAFE-FM is run by the Cascade Radio Group, owned by Saga Communications.
KAFE-FM serves Northwestern Washington, with a signal that also reaches Seattle's northern suburbs, the Olympic Peninsula and into Canada, reaching Vancouver and Victoria.
Since changing format and call letters on November 1, 1989, KAFE-FM 104.3 has been an adult contemporary radio station known for community interests and a solid veteran airstaff.
Also known as Country KERI-FM in the 1970s and "Northwest Rock" KNWR-FM in the late 1970s to 1980s.
Morning hosts Dave Walker (Dallas, TX) and Shari Matthews (Flagstaff, AZ; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA) have been on-air together since November 2000.
Program Director Lynn Roberts (Seattle, WA; Honolulu, HI); and Scotty VanDryver round out the airstaff, with syndicated evening host Delilah on Sunday through Friday nights.
KAFE-FM has an application for the FCC to move from 104.3 to 104.1.
