Kaela Kimura (木村カエラ Kimura Kaera?) (real name: Rie Kaela Kimura (木村カエラりえ Kimura Kaera Rie?), (born October 24, 1984) is a Japanese rock and pop singer, songwriter, model, and presenter.

Born in Adachi, Tokyo, Japan to a British father and Japanese mother, Kaela started working as a model in 2002 for the Japanese idol magazine Seventeen. She went on to host the popular Morning Television show 'Saku Saku' between (April 14, 2003 - March 31, 2006).
She released her debut single 'Level 42' on June 23 2004, which was used over the end credits of 'Saku Saku'. Her debut album 'Kaela' followed on December 8 of the same year. Her fanbase grew considerably after her third single "Rirura Riruha" (リルラ リルハ Real Life Real Heart?) was used in a series of Vodafone commercials in Japan which helped make her a household name.
Kaela has covered Roy Orbison's Oh, Pretty Woman, which was used as the theme song of 2006 Japanese television dramas "Attention Please" starring Aya Ueto. She appeared on the program in a cameo role, as an airline passenger in episode 10.
She is a friend of Tamio Okuda (Puffy AmiYumi's producer), also a musician. She is a fan of Tim Armstrong (Rancid). Kaela has performed on numerous collaborations with Beat Crusaders PV. Kaela officially joined the Sadistic Mika Band's group in 2006. She has recently collaborated with British powerpop band Farrah in London on songs for her next album.
Kaela enjoys a number of lucrative sponsorship contracts (with companies such as JR). Her blood type is A and her hobbies include playing piano, guitar and making clothes.
