Kadukutty

Kadukutty is a village in the Thrissur district of Kerala, south India. It is the seat of a Gram Panchayat, under the administrative block of Chalakudy. It surrounded by the Chalakudy river in the three sides. Kadukutty is famous for its natural beauty and bio-diversity.

Agriculture in this area includes cultivation of rice paddy, betel nut and coconut[citation needed].Some ceramic industires like tile facory,potteries are also there. The village is composed of a number of household settlements amidst the paddy fields[citation needed]. There are about 10 to 50 households of mixed religious backgrounds in each settlement[citation needed]. Kadukutty has Christian churches and Hindu temples reflecting the predominantly Hindu-Christian population makeup[citation needed]. It is also a Roman Catholic parish

Kadukutty is a village with 100% literacy. There are two primary schools and two pre-primary schools. There s a small library functioning under the panchayat at, Thaikoottam. For health care, there is a Hospital , St. Joseph Hospital, which is having all the primary requisites in case of emergency.

It is very easy to reach Kadukutty from the important stations of the state. Nearby rail way stations are Chalakudy (9km), Muringoor(5km),Koratty(5km). Near by KSRTC stand is chalakudy (7km). Kadukutty is just 5km away from NH-47. Famous Muringoor retreat center, Church of Koratty Muthy, Karimpanakkavu Temple etc are very closely situated to kadukutty.
