[edit] Plot
A drama/feminist film about women who are treated as second-class citizens in the Orthodox society. The story begins when Meir, who is an Orthodox Jew, begins to understand how women are poorly regarded when his rabbi suggests that he leave his wife Rivka. They love each other based on affection and mutual respect, but are unable to have children. Meir is reminded that the Talmud says that if a woman can bear no children she may as well be dead. Meanwhile Rivka's younger sister Malka is engaged to Yossef in a match arranged by their parents, however Malka is in love with another man, Yaakov, who questions the Orthodox faith.
