Kadampara is a village situated on a river island in the Cuttack district of the state of Orissa, India. The island is called Bayalish Mauza, meaning Group of 42 Villages. Kadampara is one of the unique villages with facilities like a high school, a college (Sudarshan College), a cold store which is the biggest in eastern India, and its own youth club. The village is surrounded by three other villages, Aitalanga, Beherampur and Zhinkiriya, and the river Kathjodi. Krishna, named as Lord Viswanath, is the village god. Like the rest of the 42 Villages, Kadampara celebrates its most enchanting festival of Dolyatra in mid-March in the time of Holi.
