The station is broadcasted from Manhattan, Kansas, with an ERP of 11,500 kW, with its COL as Riley, Kansas. The station serves the Junction City-Manhattan-Fort Riley area, as well as portions of Northeast Kansas. Their slogan is "The #1 Hit Music Channel!"

Currently, The Z has one competitor. KJCK-FM, Power Hits 97.5, is its only competition.

Currently, the station airs Kidd Kraddick In The Morning. The station has aired the show since early 2000. The show is on from 5 am to 10 am. Kelsey does to midday shift from 10 am to 2 pm. J.C. King does afternoons from 2 pm to 7 pm. The Simply Wireless All-Request Show with Drew is on from 7 pm to Midnight.
