Kaba Modern is an organization with a long history and is now nationally known through an MTV show. I was surprised Wikipedia didn't have a page on it already. I believe it meets notability standards. -Animesouth (talk) 05:45, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] keep, but needs edits

footnote 8 is not a reputable source. it sounds very much like a "homer" complaining on a blog that her friends were eliminated. does not have any useful information —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kyutieboi (talkcontribs) 05:29, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

the unreputable source is the same source as footnotes 1 & 7. she blogged under kat, b/c she wasn't "reporting" there so much as expressing her opinion. she mentions that she typically writes in the style/food sections. [1] [2] --Wongba (talk) 20:21, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] new rumors regarding competition manipulation

i reverted the article w/ regards to this statement. i'm not saying it didn't happen, but an allegation like this needs a source.

  • Rumors surfaced that Kaba modern was paid $10,000 each to drop out of the competition by MTV. Alleged reasons behind this are that MTV did not want a West v. West battle against Kaba Modern and the Jabbawockeez and that MTV feared that ratings from the African American community, who play a large role in MTV's ratings, would drop. --Wongba (talk) 20:53, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
