Kabir Mohabbat

Kabir Mohabbat was an Afghan-American business man from Houston, TX who had extensive involvement with various Afghan Mujahidin groups during the struggle against the Soviets who had invaded in 1979.
He was reportedly a middle man in secret talks between the United States and the Taliban from October 2000. The object of the talks were to negotiate the hand over of Osama bin Laden to the United States following the bombing of the USS Cole. The offer, he further alleged, stood until February 2002.
Kabir Mohabbat passed away in Houston, Texas in 2007.
