Lt. Gen. K. Bahadur Singhji,MBE(retd.), also known as ‘’’Kanwar Bahadur Singh’’’ (1910 2007) was a former Lt. Governor of Himachal Pradesh from May 1967 to January 1971.
He passed away in May 2007 at the age of 97 until then he was the oldest living Indian defence officer. He set up the Central Command.
He hails from Thikana "Palaitha" a premier principality of the earstwhile Kota State in Rajasthan.
He was married to Rajendra Kumari of Barwani. They have 5 children, a son (Kr Jaivir Singh Palaitha) and 4 daughters (Jyostna, Jaya, Padmini & Durga).
K Jaivir Singh Palaitha was educated in Doon School, Dehradun. The girls were educated in MGD School (Maharani Gayatri Devi). The General had 10 grandchildren.
