K-Zone

K-Zone (commonly abbreviated as KZ) is a children's magazine in Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines and Malaysia. It is aimed at children aged 8-16. It is owned and controlled by the Seven Corporation and Kerry Stokes. The management of the magazine is run by many people. The magazine has been published monthly for several years now, and the first official issue of this magazine was published in 1999
Each month there are certain compulsory categories that are listed in the contents section. They are listed in the following order: Comics, Shame Files, Competitions, Puzzles, How Things Work, Prank Patrol Movie Mayhem, Gamer's Galaxy etc. There are also temporary categories for special events, such as the Olympic Games, Australian Idol, Celebrity Idols, etc. In the April 2005 issue K-zone started a new game zone section. It contains reviews, news and cheats about games. Also, all of the competitions in K-Zone have a fair chance of play, with little or no competitions relying solely upon luck itself.
In the October 2006 issue the magazine changed its style and logo. This also occurred in the January 2007 issue of the Philippine edition.
K-Zone's sister magazine is Total Girl magazine, both sharing similarities such as competitions and attached freebies.

K-Kash is a K-Zone competition in which readers could open an account and register to find codes hidden in the magazine, website and newsletters of K-Zone. Once a reader had enough K-Kash they would redeem a prize from the K-Kash vault using their K-Kash.

K-Kash 1 (or K-Kash) was a special competition running through the September and October 2005 issues of K-Zone. Buyers were given a $10 K-Kash note which includes a number that must be entered to start an account at the K-Kash Website. $100 K-Kash notes were put in 100 K-Zone magazines (if readers found this they got $100 more K-Kash to their account). Readers needed to find codes in the magazine, website and in newsletters to add more K-Kash to their account. Codes could get from $5-$500 K-Kash. The six weeks in which the competition ran had 34,425 registered users submitting over 1.4 million codes. A anthrophomorphic pig with the name of Pig Daddy was a major icon in this competition.

Recently was K-Kash 2 which started with the December 2006/January 2007 issue of K-Zone, which included a K-Kard (a sort of credit card which a six digit pin on the back of it, needed for opening accounts) and an invisible ink pen (used for finding hidden codes in the magazine). Pig Daddy also returned for K-Kash 2 with a total prize pool of around $75,000. The codes were now found if a word in the magazine, website or newsletters had a '$' (entered as a 's'), '@' (entered as a 'a') or '&' (entered as an 'e') in place of a letter. Codes could also have a number in place of a letter. Codes are worth 10, 20 or 50 points which are added to an account, but only if spelt and entered correctly.

The K-Zone Awards 2007 nominees have been officially released in the October 2007 issue. Voters can vote through SMS or through the internet websites. This year's awards is currently the biggest one. The following categories are:
