[edit] Yosida vs Yoshida

I entitled this page 'Yosida' because

  • this seems the spelling preferred by the person himself (see google search for his full name) and on most japanese web pages.
  • this is the spelling used on the title page of his famous textbook.

I am aware that today's preferred transcription of the japanese word would rather be "Yoshida", so I put cross references where I could. MFH 18:37, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

We should use the name he is usually known by - i.e. Yosida. Charles Matthews 22:33, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)
