Kōhachiro Miyata

Kōhachiro Miyata (presumably born before 1960) is a Shakuhachi player and composer. He does both traditional and contemporary music. He recorded with Ensemble Nipponia in the United States in 1976. Among his students were Clive Bell , Fukuda Teruhi, and Larry Tyrrell. He has had CDs put out by Nonesuch Records, JVC, and King Records. .[1]
