[edit] Mail Tribune

I'll echo what I said to User:Webmmt--If you are associated with the MT (the online editor, perhaps?), please read about our conflict of interest guidelines and realize that we would prefer that you add content, not links, as outlined in the boilerplate message about linkspam I am appending below. Thanks.

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

[edit] Please be careful

I see someone with the name Mailtribunenews was blocked from editing. Please be more careful about trying to use Wikipedia to drive traffic to your newspaper's website and read about what Wikipedia is not. You may be acting in good faith, but continuing to spam articles with links to your paper is likely to get you or your webpage blocked by WikiProject Spam. Thanks. Katr67 21:04, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
