[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome!

Hello, Jwad, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

[edit] Royal Box

Hi, I see that you and I have differing views on whether Royal Box should be included in the Madonna template; it would be good to discuss this on the talk page for the template. (I've not reverted your change as there's no value in starting a war on the topic withour discussion, but I'd like to hear a more solid justification for its inclusion.) Gusworld (talk) 21:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Statue of Madonna

Statues are relevant to person articles, image is free licenced An example is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Vikrant 19:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

An example is Madame Tussauds. Vikrant 19:21, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jwad, please do not undo my changes to the Madonna page

I detailed why I made the changes to the page on the Discussion forum. Please do not hawk the page. I know you mean well. Maddyfan (talk) 19:50, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I second Maddyfan's opinion. And there is no reason, no policy or guideline that prevents the use of statue images. So what if they are made of wax. It is relevant. Stop edit warring or else I'll have to report all this. Vikrant 15:44, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Hard Candy

Please stop with the back-and-forth with the tables. The article's Talk Page has a discussion started about the formatting. Please don't change it back repeatedly, or boldface the song titles, etc., etc. The table, as it is right now, is fine and adheres to style guidelines in WP:ALBUMS. There is no reason to keep changing this. Thanks. - eo (talk) 17:12, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop with the table and headers formatting

Column headers (or article sub-headers), per WP:MoS, should only have the first word capitalized unless it is a proper name (i.e. "Production credits", not "Production Credits"). Also, your insistence on putting width restrictions on the columns that do not need them doesn't take into account the way tables look on different browsers and computer monitor sizes. Please stop disrupting the Madonna album articles. - eo (talk) 13:54, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm not ruining what youre doing, I am making corrections to the formatting. The tables do not look squashed and there is no reason to place width restrictions where they are not needed - i.e. the column widths will automatically configure to the text inside of them. This allows different browsers and monitor sizes to see the tables correctly. Please also note the comment above about the headers. - eo (talk) 14:04, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Madonna albums: OK, before big edit wars begin.....

I see what's starting here with the latest edits. Let's discuss on the Talk Page for Hard Candy about track list formatting, since it has already started there. Edit warring is a waste of time for everyone and I'm sure that editors can come to a consensus (please read that page). Thanks. - eo (talk) 02:22, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop the unnecessary tables in Madonna album pages containing esoteric information

Hi,

I believe that you have interpreted the following paragraph of the WIKI ALBUM guidelines:

Particularly for hip hop albums, it is helpful to list which members of a group (or guests) rap on which verses as well as mentioning sampling sources. This can be done in a nested list, as in the example above. Using a table is recommended in more complicated situations (see Before These Crowded Streets for example). If a table is used, it should be formatted using class="wikitable", using column headings "#", "Title" and "Length" for the track number, the track title and the track length, respectively.

But please not the words in bold. At NO POINT in the whole of the WIKI ALBUM guidelines does it suggest to include esoteric, unnecessary information such as 'producers', so PLEASE stop reverting to an elaborate but unnecessary table. The format of Madonna's albums is currently under discussion in the Talk page of 'Hard Candy', if you feel strongly about the use of tables, please make your opinion known there and we can all try to reach a consensus.

Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Reqluce (talkcontribs) 02:28, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

I am not making disruptive edits. I am only trying to provide the correct info. I've tried that many times, but someone else keeps filling in the wrong info. I don't mean to cause any problems, but I think it's rude for everyone to point their fingers at me, thinking I'm making disruptive edits. Providing the correct info is not disruptive. I apologize for any inconvenience, but if I see something as being incorrect, I'm going to make an edit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KieferSuth1985Marx (talkcontribs) 06:51, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

Honestly, I do not care what YOU think is unacceptable. As far as I know, you are not an administrator of this site, therefore, you don't have the right to block me. I AM NOT vandalizing anything. I'm making reasonable edits to info that is incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by KieferSuth1985Marx (talkcontribs) 01:57, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Question about Def Leppard

I was wondering: Do you know if Def Leppard's 2004 album, "Best Of Def Leppard", had a U.S. release? —Preceding unsigned comment added by KieferSuth1985Marx (talkcontribs) 04:14, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] User:201.230.126.147

Hi. Why did you report this user's edits as vandalism? Please read Wikipedia:Vandalism to understand what vandalism actually is. Neıl 13:04, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

The Girlie Show Tour and Drowned World Tour have no references for the set lists. How is anyone to know what the correct set list is without a source? Neıl 13:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
You're right, but before only you knew it wasn't correct (and how was I to know whether you or the IP were right?) - now everyone can tell. Thanks for adding the references :) Neıl 14:50, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Justin Timberlake

Would you mind writing a few entries on Justin Timberlake's page about his working with Madonna, and appearing in her video? There's no mention on there now.76.124.165.253 (talk) 15:47, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Madonna Roseland Ballroom Pic

Do you have any copyright info for this image? I contacted the uploader, but they have not responded and it looks like they have a history of not filling out image identification. It would be so sad to lose this picture. Any ideas?

[edit] RfD nomination of Sticky and Sweet Tour

I have nominated Sticky and Sweet Tour (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) for discussion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Save-Me-Oprah(talk) 19:33, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re; Sticky & Sweet Tour

I was wondering why there was no afd box on that.. I probably should've just closed the afd as "dealt with", since it was and i don't know if the two were the same or not. Thanks for catching that. Wizardman 21:46, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
