Jwala Gutta is a seven times National Badminton Doubles Champion. She is one of the best Women's Doubles Badminton players produced by India in recent times partnering with Shruti Kurien. She is also well known for her beauty and as wife of Chetan Anand, an ARJUNA Awardee and three times National Badminton Champion.

Jwala was born to Mr. Kranti and Mrs. Yelan. She was born and brought up in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. She did her schooling in Hyderabad. Jwala has a younger sister Insi Gutta. Jwala is married to Chetan Anand in July 2005.

Jwala started her career in badminton at the age of 10 under Mr. S. M. Arif. Jwala first good performance came in Thrissur in Kerala when she won her Maiden National singles title in the Mini Nationals in the U-13 girls singles.
