Background Information
Born: 1948
Birthplace: Racine, WI
Occupation: Executive Director, Advanced Learning Institute
Spouse: Deborah L. Wilson
Children: Two Sons
JW Wilson is the Executive Director of the Advanced Learning Institute, an organization which researches advanced learning technologies.
The Institute has made what it believes is a profound discovery: there is a special code in your DNA called your Learning Code. This code must be turned on before you can create long-term memories or lasting behavioral change. Unfortunately, the reason we experience such high levels of failure in our scholastic and corporate institutions is that our existing educational methods fail to effectively turn on this Learning Code.
The discovery of the Learning Code has been compared to that of the double helix shape of DNA made by Watson and Crick in the 1950s. The Learning Code can be looked at as the Rosetta Stone for dramatically accelerating memory formation and behavioral modification.
Wilson says the Learning Code has been missed until now because it cannot be uncovered by any single scientific discipline. The extreme specialization in science has generated all the information needed to reveal the code, but without the means to assemble it. The Advanced Learning Institute has spent the past two decades conducting research into the fields of neuroscience, genetics, molecular biology, evolutionary biology, quantum physics, complexity science and chaos theory. The result is the discovery of the Learning Code—a paradigm shift in understanding how we learn.

Testimonials
“JW’s book fills out every aspect of what it means to be truly intelligent learners as well as what is stopping and retarding that process. This information is crucial if we are to further the evolution of mankind, rather than continue to witness the decline of both the learning and health of our youth.” Nancy Monson, Director of Running River School, Boulder, CO
