Gerrit van Arkel was a Dutch architect who designed many of Amsterdam's most prominent Jugendstil buildings. His buildings include the Asscher diamond factory, where the world's largest diamond, the Cullinan Diamond, was cut.

Jodenbreestraat is a street in Amsterdam's former Jewish quarter. It is best known as the street where Rembrandt lived and worked.
