[edit] Macorex
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Macorex, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.macorex.com-a.googlepages.com/home. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:37, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Macorex, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kannie | talk 21:38, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Macorex and your user page
This is the only warning you will receive. I have deleted the page you created, as well as your user page, both of which were found to be not only copyright violations, but blatant spam.If you continue to use Wikipedia as a venue for advertising your own website, you will be blocked from editing. [edit] Notability of Macorex
The article Macorex has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. J Milburn (talk) 18:30, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Macorex
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Macorex, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Macorex. Fabrictramp (talk) 00:11, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Macorex
I have nominated Macorex, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Macorex. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. [edit] January 2008
If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Macorex, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
- and you must always:
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Fabrictramp (talk) 23:05, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
I do not understand...
- What do you not understand exactly?
- You created an article for your website and that constitutes a conflict of interest. If it's really notable you should let someone else write it for you, since they would know it through its notability. -- Mentifisto 20:36, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
I do not understand where the conflict of interest is...
- Well, you're the key person of the website so that's obviously a conflict of interest... you're creating the article to advertise your website. Conflict of interest is bad because it can introduce point of views in the article, instead of remaining neutral, like you did when you wrote "to create accounts that can be very useful" - 'useful' is only your opinion. -- Mentifisto 20:51, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Thank You very much... But, can the page still be published if i take my opinion out of the text and add some more relevant facts about the text?
Are the new references from Google enough?
- None of the references you added (which were already in the article when it was nominated for deletion) establish notability. Please take a few minutes to thoroughly read Wikipedia:WEB#Criteria and Wikipedia:N#General_notability_guideline to see what it takes to establish notability. Thanks! --Fabrictramp (talk) 23:29, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Macorex. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you.
