[edit] ISO edit question
Justin,
Why isn't it deemed appropriate to have a separate criticism section in the external links area? It seems like this is a solution that should please all concerned (aside from those ISO members who will stop at nothing to bury mention of any noteworthy criticisms in the entry). [edit] Closing AfD debates
Hello Justin, I recently repaired two AfD discussions that you closed, here and here. The top and bottom templates were used with incorrect syntax, i.e. you typed {{Template:Afd top}} rather than {{subst:Afd top}}. Also, note that {{Afd top}} takes a parameter for the close reason. You might want to review the non-admin closure instructions for tips before closing additional debates. However, if you intend to close many debates, you may wish to add this script to your monobook.js to make the process easier - it’s what I use and I don’t have to worry about forgetting to subst or messing up the syntax. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Cheers! —Travistalk 17:15, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Animals banner
Hey Justin. Remember that with articles on species, (e.g. Cretan Dwarf Megacerine) its best to just tag them with the closest related project banner, mammals in this case. Of course, if there is no subproject for them (e.g. starfish), the animals tag should be added. Richard001 (talk) 06:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Franco-Mongol alliance
This Arbitration case is closed and the final decision has been published at the link above. PHG (talk · contribs) is prohibited from editing articles relating to medieval or ancient history for a period of one year. He is permitted to make suggestions on talk pages, provided that he interacts with other editors in a civil fashion. PHG is reminded that in contributing to Wikipedia (including his talkpage contributions, contributions in other subject-matter areas, and contributions after the one-year editing restriction has expired), it is important that all sourced edits must fairly and accurately reflect the content of the cited work taken as a whole. PHG is also reminded that Wikipedia is a collaborative project and it is essential that all editors work towards compromise and a neutral point of view in a good-faith fashion. When one editor finds themselves at odds with most other editors on a topic, it can be disruptive to continue repeating the same argument. After suggestions have been properly considered and debated, and possible options considered, if a consensus is clear, the collegial and cooperative thing to do is to acknowledge the consensus, and move on to other debates.
PHG is encouraged to continue contributing to Wikipedia and Wikimedia projects in other ways, including by suggesting topics for articles, making well-sourced suggestions on talkpages, and continuing to contribute free-content images to Wikimedia Commons.

[edit] Animal taxobox colour
Hi Justin,
Thanks for the message about the taxobox colour on Animal. However, the standard color for Animalia has changed after a discussion on WT:Taxobox usage; I've just implemented this ([1]), but Animal is one of the few articles where the autodetection doesn't work. That's why I had to change it myself. Eugène van der Pijll (talk) 16:33, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject banners
Hi, I see you've worked on the WikiProject Animals banner, could you add the "need-taxobox=yes" parameter in the banners for Template:WikiProject Arthropods, and Template:Wikiproject Viruses? (Or tell me how I could do it myself). Pro bug catcher (talk • contribs). 14:59, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
