[edit] Welcome

Hi and welcome to wikipedia. I noticed you had a blank talk page, so I decided to welcome you. I hope you like it and decide to stay. Here are some handy links for newcomers.

Also you can sign your name on talk pages and vote pages with three tildes like this ~~~, and your name with a time stamp with four like this ~~~~. Howabout1 15:23, 28 May 2005 (UTC)

JustSomeKid are you a molecular biology person? Me too. ron 15:50, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

I'm grossly ignorant of the field. Some aspects I know a bit about, though, and there are a few things in it I think are really cool. - JustSomeKid 22:47, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey -- I noticed you have redirected a vast number of pages on individual kata to the page karate kata. I'm a mergist myself, so I understand the principle of this, but I think this is effectively removing a LOT of information from Wikipedia. Was this the result of a consensus somewhere? If so, let me know on my talk page; for now, I'm reverting all of those so the information is preserved. If not, I'm happy to debate this if you disagree; let me know and we can start a discussion, perhaps at Talk:Karate kata so that other people can find it. Mangojuice 04:13, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Looking through your history, I found many similar redirections to Blocking techniques and other mass-merge pages. Similarly, I'm undoing this, it's losing a lot of information. Mangojuice 04:18, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I'm posting a response at Talk:Shotokan#Kata instruction, but I am making a link to that discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Martial Arts, because some interested editors may not be aware of it, on a Shotokan page. Mangojuice 12:50, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject_Martial_Arts

You are listed as a participant in this Wikiproject, which appears to have ground to a halt - I'm contacting all participants to try to get things rolling again... hope you can help! -- Medains 08:52, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:MeiLing.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:MeiLing.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
