GEORGE GALFO

George is a Sagittarius, born in Brooklyn, New York. He attended PS 112, Shallow Junior High School, New Utrecht High School, all of which are located in Brooklyn, NY.

George started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the Overons in 1958, which later became The Mystics. He sang second tenor as an original founding Mystic member. George has made appearances with the Mystics on: the Clay Cole Show; American Bandstand; Alan Freed's "Big Beat Show"; Jim Gallant's Bandstand in Connecticut; Alan Freed Stage Show at the Brooklyn Fox. George also toured with Cavalcade Of Stars, run by the General Artists Corporation. He made a few Palisades Park appearances hosted by Cousin Bruce Morrow. He was a back up singer for Connie Francis on her 1959 release "Tommy" and for other artists who were under the Laurie Label umbrella.

George is extremely EXCITED about being back in the limelight today with his own group George Galfo's Mystics. He takes pride as the New Voice on "Hushabye" the group's biggest hit along with the leads on "Don't Take The Stars", "Darling I Know Now"… just to mention a few. George can be heard on all the Mystics original recordings listed below with some of the original members.

George Galfo now comes forth and leads his own group with Mike Miller (former lead singer of Harmony Street). Mike wrote the new "Hushabye Again"(c), which is the new Mystic hit, Joe Neary(former led singer of Reunion) who sang backup for Dion for many years and Anthony DeFontes (former lead singer with Reunion), who also sang back up for Dion for many years.

The Mystics under George Galfo's trademark "George Galfo's Mystics"(R) have been taking South Florida by storm. They have never sounded better. George Galfo is honored and excited about being back in the limelight and having 3 very talented men joining him and creating wonderful harmony and enabling the music of yesteryear to be kept alive as well as bringing more original material to the fans. George has come forth today doing the Lead Vocals on their latest 2006 Hit original song "Beautiful Lady"(c) along with the lead vocals on Hushabye, Don't Take The Stars, Darling I Know Now , and other Mystics songs. All of George Galfo's Mystics tunes are getting massive amounts of play on oldie radio stations around the country and worldwide on the Internet stations as well.


There are currently 3 albums released by George Galfo's Mystics(R) under George Galfo's leadership, which are "Singing Your Favorites", "Hushabye Again"(R), and "Beautiful Lady", a ballad and the title track of their new CD which has been embraced by the public and is getting vast airplay on internal radio..
