Justaped spent eight years studying Japanese Buddhism especially about "Shinnyo-en" by devoting himself on practicing it as well as studying it theoretically. The study is ongoing. Learning about Japanese Buddhism and other traditional Buddhism in the U.S. and Europe is Justaped's lifework. The total time span of learning Buddhism is now over a decade excluding "pre-study time" (as of year 2008.)

Justaped reads, writes, speaks and understands Japanese fully and is fluent in English. Thus obtains his knowledge from Japanese articles as well as from English articles.

Justaped is having a hard time how to eliminate the gap between the Japanese view and Western view due to language and cultural barriers.
