He was in another band before Motion City Soundtrack. Also, he used to play keyboards before Jesse Johnson came into the band.

um if he was born in 76 and he formed the band in 99 he would actually be 23 and no longer in high school like the article says.

To answer all of you, in an interview, Justin aid that he DOES like anime, he probably failed a few grades and was in high school when he formed the band, (or began school at a late age) and his full name is Justin Cortney Pierre.
