Talk:Justice Sunday (conservative Christian event)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Long-time Wikipedia reader, first-time "editor." My question about this page is that it doesn't seem to have a neutral POV. The first main section, Justice Sunday, has an extended aside on "Social Justice Sunday" and calls it equally successful. The second section, Justice Sunday II, only talks about Bill Frist breaking ranks. The third section, Justice Sunday III, seems only to highlight the most extreme positions advanced. Finally, the external links section seems to have lots of links to articles harshly critical of the event. I was surprised the article didn't have some sort of warning that the neutrality of the POV was disputed. ConDissenter 23:56, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Boone quote

I have deleted this quote:

"Rev. Wellington Boone, a speaker at Justice Sunday III, proclaimed, "The black community must stop criticizing Uncle Tom. He is a role model."[1]"

The link appears to be a questionable website that is an interview with actor Gary Busey where he references Boone speaking at an event unrelated to this. If the quote is accurate, it needs a proper citation and should be on on Rev. Boone's page as it does not appear to have relevance to "Justice Sunday".66.72.215.225 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 19:45, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
