Justine Welles was a fictional character on the Australian television soap opera series Home and Away. The character was played by actress Bree Desborough.
[edit] Character Information
Justine first arrived in Summer Bay in 1997 to look for her brother Aaron. She stayed with him and his foster parents Alf and Ailsa Stewart for a while but was thrown out after repeated drug use.
After several months in rehab, Justine managed to get clean of drugs and was fostered by Pippa Ross.
Justine had relationships with Vinnie Patterson and Tom Nash.
In 1999, Justine began babysitting Ruby Collins for her parents. One day, Ruby had died and Justine was accused of manslaughter which led to a trial and media coverage.
Sharon, Justine's mother came to Summer Bay to support her daughter, or so it would seem. Sharon managed to provoke Justine into a sarcastic confession and recorded it.
Following Justine's trial, the tape was played in court and Justine was sentenced to some time in a juvenile detention centre.
Justine was eventually released, and resumed her relationship with Tom until she left for an acting career in the city in early 2000.
