[edit] NFL career
Rogers became the first Mustang drafted by an NFL team since Kevin Garrett in 2003 when he was drafted by the New England Patriots. After the Patriots cut Rogers just before the start of the 2007 season, the Cowboys claimed Rogers off waivers, adding him to their 53-man roster.
[edit] Personal
In a media conference call after his selection, Rogers noted that he is an avid hunter; as a gift for his stepmother, he skinned a coyote he had caught. [1]
