Justin Griffith (born July 21, 1980 in Magee, Mississippi) is an American football fullback who currently plays for the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League.
[edit] High School Years
Griffith attended Magee High School in Magee, Mississippi, where he led his team in rushing for two years. Nicknamed "Cokey", led Magee to the 1997 3A football State Champioship. Rushed for over 4,700 yards and 66 touchdowns in his final two seasons at Magee High School, gaining 2,533 yards on 323 carries (7.8 avg.) and 30 scores in his senior season and 2,261 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior. Majored in teaching/coaching education at MSU. Actively involved within the community in 2004. Participated in the Valentines for Vets program, where he went room to room visiting veterans in a Virginia Hospital. Served as a speaker for various youth outreach programs. Involved in the Ball Boy Mentoring program and Atlanta Falcons Coaches Academy. Fraternal twin Julius (2000-2001) and cousin Slovakia (2000-2004) also played for Mississippi State. Born Justin Montrel Griffith in Magee, Mississippi on July 21, 1980.

In 39 games at Mississippi State University, Justin Griffith had 85 receptions for 937 yards(11.02 yards per rec. avg.), and 4 touchdowns, and also rushed 213 times for 852 yards(4 yards per rush avg.), and 9 touchdowns. As a senior,he was an All-Southeastern Conference first-team choice by the NFL Draft Report. He was also an excellent student, winning Southeastern Academic Honor Roll accolades,

Griffith was the starting fullback for the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, but was let go at the start of the 2007 offseason. At the start of the 2007 free agency period, the Oakland Raiders signed Griffith where he is the starting fullback. During his time with the Falcons, he played alongside with Cornerback DeAngelo Hall. In 2008, Hall was traded to Oakland Raiders, reuniting the former Falcons.
