Justin Christian

Justin Barnett Christian was born on April 3, 1980 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a left fielder for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees.
Christian went to Auburn University in Auburn Alabama. He also played baseball at Southeast Missouri State University, where he was an All-American in 2003. Christian was signed as a non-drafted free agent on July 1, 2004 by the New York Yankees. In 2006, Christian hit .276, had 6 home runs, 43 RBIs, and 68 stolen bases which was 3rd in all of the minor leagues. Christian started the 2007 season with the Double-A Trenton Thunder. He had a .235 batting average, 3 home runs, 32 runs batted in, 18 stolen bases. On June 22, 2007 Christian was called up to Triple-A Scranton where he hit .325. Overall he hit .271 on the year.
