Justin Blackburn is the controversial co-author of the novel Gifted Disabilities and the book of poetry It's Hard to get There when You're already There. Both of these publications were written with Kenny Norseworthy. Blackburn also owns the American record company Super Baby Star

In October of 2004, Blackburn was confronted in his residence by members of the secret service, in response to public reaction to Gifted Disabilities as a manifesto. After a five-hour interrogation the book was allowed to be published and sold, with minor changes to certain passages.[citation needed]
