Just as Long as We're Together is a teen novel written by Judy Blume and published in 1987.
The novel is narrated by Stephanie, who has several changes in her life happening at the same time. She is turning thirteen, her family has just moved, she is starting middle school, her parents are separating, she starts menstruating and becoming interested in boys, and her life-long friendship with Rachel is threatened when Alison enters her life. Stephanie really likes Alison and feels that Rachel doesn't want to be her friend anymore.
The book's title refers to the song "Side by Side."
The novel is followed by a sequel narrated by Rachel titled Here's to You, Rachel Robinson.
