Just Brakes is the largest owned brake specialty repair company in the world.[citation needed] The first Just Brakes’ store opened in Bryan, Texas, in 1980. Since then, it has expanded to over 140 stores located in seven states and 12 major markets.
Just Brakes has a major presence in cities across the southern United States: Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Denver, Phoenix, Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, Tampa-St. Petersburg, Las Vegas and Orlando. The company began expansion to the San Antonio area in October 2007.
Just Brakes has been family-owned and operated since June 1994, with two generations of the Cloud family working at its Dallas, Texas headquarters. The company performs brake repairs on over 340,000 vehicles annually. Just Brakes has its own Certified Brake Safety Expert School, as well as a Manager Certification Program. Each "brake safety expert" receives 80-120 hours of training annually.
Just Brakes is a member of the National Council of Better Business Bureaus, the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA) and the Motorist Assurance Program (MAP).
